Towed nearly 1,000 miles … Made a pit stop at a quiet, scenic campground near Binghamton … too bad I don’t golf … there’s a beautiful course located directly across the highway from the campground. Not much to do here other than relax & eat ice cream, this campground has a homemade ice cream social for their guests every night … Sadie told me that we WILL partake in that event !! This day & a half pit stop will allow me time to plot my journey south & make campground reservations.
My friend Ann texted that I have some mail … sooooo … guess what … looks like I will be making another pit stop near y’all … I’ll let you know when we’ll be in the area !! In case you want to visit us !
A silly epiphany … One thing I didn’t realize was that campgrounds don’t invest any money into street lights !! 😂 And, if you know me, you would know that I have a fondness for street lights or any kind of nighttime lights for that matter!! I even petitioned the old neighborhood to have one installed at the end of my old driveway !! So basically, it’s realllly dark at campgrounds at night 😳 !!!! But, I have an exterior light & 8 night lights on the inside of our tiny house to comfort me !! 🤣
We have been the first tiny house at each location we visited and sometimes it causes quite the paparazzi gridlock around our home ! I sort of feel like a tiny house celebrity !! I can’t even say how many photos have been taken ! Some folks even honk their horn while passing us on the highway ! Pretty distracting but cool 😎 !
As for Sadie, we just took another long walk around the campground. One thing I noticed about her is that living in the woods has brought out her inner ‘wild’ beagle 🐶🤣 ! She is quite spunky & acting as if she’s a puppy !! There are a few neighbor dogs wandering around that she hasn’t met yet, currently she is taking a doggie nap !

Forgot to mention, this appears to be a ‘mature older adult’ campground … not only did I get the GoodSam discount, I got a senior discount 😳 !! Hey, works for me !! 🤣

I have to LOL because I did not know that about you about lights at night — I am the exact same way! Lights all over the outside and nightlights plugged into EVERY outlet inside the house! I always have light on, never sleep in total darkness LOL! And yes you and your tiny house are quite the novelty and celebrity! That’s cool! Charge admission for tours and photos LOL! You need to wear sunglasses all the time now because you are a celebrity! tell people “no autographs, please!” Haha! Hmmmmmm……thinking you need a Cabanatinyhouse twitter account and YouTube channel in addition to this blog……

LOL ! I’ve always disliked nighttime ! I would not make a very good vampire 🧛♀️ !! I have a Twitter handle already, but, Twitter is way too political … But, a YouTube channel sounds like fun.
