We are safe in a pit stop RV park in SC near Lexington (no recycling here either 😩)! Sunday morning we will begin our journey to the SC coast near Hilton Head. Then one stop in GA before heading into FL !! We’ll be there for at least a month since I have lots of friends to visit in FL !!

One thing I noticed about the south is that no one is in a hurry … everyone is relaxed, most are very friendly & taking their time unlike PA, NJ & NYC where you can get run over for stopping at a school bus stop !

Very grateful to have cell service again !! Being in that last campground for a week without cell service was pure torture !! Although during that time I did accomplish lots of tiny house maintenance & decorating. Also went to Harbor Freight & purchased some necessities like an air compressor to check the air in my 8 tires, a bottle jack to make hitch removal easier & a digital torque wrench … I torqued my own lugs this time !!

Sadie says that this new RV park has some pretty good sniffing areas !! I can’t wait for Sadie to experience the ocean !! Stay Tuned !!

This campground is actually great if the government places you in the witness protection program !! Or if you have debt no one could ever reach you by phone !! No one would think to look for you here !!

Also I am very disappointed that only 2 out of the 12 campgrounds that we’ve been to recycle !! Everything goes to the landfill ! It’s a sin I say !!

I ain’t lying when I tell you we are in the woods !! These are my neighbors that faithfully moo every morning ! This city girl needs a Starbucks, cell service with more than 1 bar and actual roads, not gravel !! One more day then off to South Carolina !!

There was absolutely no cell service where we were, so they moved us to a site up the hill, now I have 1 bar !! WooHoo ! Had I known this I certainly wouldn’t have booked a week here. But, it is what it is. This campground is a fun, hopping place on weekends, but, during the week it’s quiet & you’re on your own. Sadie is happy & that’s all that matters ! I ate at Waffle House for the 1st time. There is nothing else to visit near here other than Lake Lure where Dirty Dancing was filmed, so this past weekend was a tribute to the film. Enjoy the pics!

We’re in NC !! This campground is cool but it’s in a Valley surrounded by very tall trees so we are without adequate cell service ! Drama 😩! Stay Tuned tomorrow for Sadie’s blog !!

One month ago today Sadie & I left home. Since then, we’ve traveled over 1,700 miles, visited 11 campgrounds in 4 states & met lots of people & their dogs.

We will be leaving VA tomorrow morning, then driving 4 hours to doggie campground #12 in NC.

Sadie will have lots of adventures to share with her friends during our week long visit there!

We appreciate all the prayers and supportive, encouraging messages, emails and texts that you sent us over the past month. I am glad y’all are enjoying our blog & photos. P.S. It’s really hot 🥵 here !!
