Appalachians Pit Stop

I didn’t want to drive 5 hours today to campground #9 located below Pittsburgh, so, we made a pit stop at campground #8, which is located between the Wills & Evitts Mountains at the northern tip of the Appalachians. I never realized that Western PA had such high ๐Ÿ˜ณ mountains! Thank God my truck is awesome !

This is a ‘very mature’ campground. Now that the Labor Day holiday is over, which means camping season is winding down, there is absolutely NOTHING to do here compared to all the activities at the KOA this past weekend ! I am already bored, but, will take this day & a half to plot out campgrounds #11 & #12.

About an hour ago, there were some folks stalking the house on a golf cart, driving in circles until I finally went out & talked to them. They said they heard a tiny house pulled in & they had to come see it! ๐Ÿ˜‚ LOL!

Sadie likes that this place has lots of grass. Lots for her to sniff. She is also happy there are other puppers camping here too! She has already met a few.

Since I have your attention, let me confess … In order to get here I had to go through a bridge that had a sign posted that read, ‘Height 13 feet 6 inches’! ๐Ÿ˜ณ Drove through the middle without incident! Can I get an atta girl & an alleluia??!!

Enjoy your evening! Donna & Sadie ๐Ÿพ

  1. Oh yes, well done on the bridge. It’s a good thing you didn’t put extra air in your tires. You go, girls. I’m glad that you are a congenial tiny house owner. You are making history.

  3. Way to go driving under the bridge! !
Jim and I find unless the campground is a KOA there are rarely activities provided! Look up Fall Festivals in the states youโ€™re going to and Iโ€™m sure your find a lot of things to do! You should go through Mt. Airy on the third Friday of the month and visit the Andy Griffith Museum! Betty Lynn, Thelma Lou, autographs 12:30-3. Get there early! Lots to do there. Thereโ€™s the Mayberry Campground and the Fancy Gap KOA. We enjoyed meeting you and weโ€™re having fun following you and Sadie! I hear lots of good things about State Parks too. Take care, Judy and Jim
