Sadie, S’mores and an Ice Pack

At 4:00 this afternoon there was a knock at my door 😳 … I looked through my blinds & saw that it was the boy next door. I opened the door & he handed me a really sweet handwritten note (see pic below).

That was the first time a camping neighbor ever invited me to eat s’mores & hang out with them by the fire! I accepted the offer.

Promptly at 6:58, Sadie & I went next door. For the next 2 hours, we hung out by the fire, chatted & ate s’mores. Sadie got to experience her first marshmallow, which she was not at all fond of ( it may have been a texture issue cuz she does like sweets) 😂. These folks are from Ohio, they sold their home & are now full time RVers that live in this campground even during the winter & their 2 kids are home schooled.

Her name is Rachel, but I already forgot the husband’s name! Maybe because earlier today I was up in my loft looking for something, forgot about the ceiling beam & straight on whacked my head on it! This injury required an immediate ice pack! I jostled a few brain cells, but, I’m ok!

Tonight was a pleasant welcome change from the dreadfully boring day I had doing laundry, vacuuming & whacking my head! 😂

  2. I think we met her and the kiddos in Fredericksburg! Will you ask if ther were at the KOS there? Her husband was traveling or doing something in DC. We loved talking to that lady! Just curious!! Judy

    1. Indeed it is great to have good neighbors !! Today he checked the air & lugs on all my tires !! Now I’m safe for my 2.5 hour adventure to West Virginia in the morning !! Hope you all are well !! 💖🐾
