Drove 3.5 hours to a campground near Hilton Head … plan to visit the island tomorrow.
This place is packed! No recycling here either ! I now have a new mission … to call/petition campground associations to require campgrounds to recycle ! This is campground #14 and it’s amazing all the campers that come & go from campgrounds and all their recycles that go to the landfill !! This lack of respect for the environment really upsets me !
Anyway, Sadie met more pups today & for the first time actually growled at 2 baby bassets … not sure why they upset her, maybe because they were very hyper & Sadie just wanted to walk & chill.
So excited to see Palm Trees π΄!! Oh, and alligators π live in the lake next to the campground! Was told (after the fact) not to visit the lake at dusk cuz that’s when they feed.π³ Glad we didn’t get eaten! Check out his head in the red circle in the pic below!
SC also has nuisance Love Bugs π ! They were splattered all over the front of the house & truck ! Yuck !! A kind neighbor let me borrow a hose to wash them off. They arrive for just two weeks to mate, then afterwards stay stuck together for days! JUST IMAGINE ??!! π€£
Have a great night !

Looks like a beautiful place! Annβs sister, Michele, in Florida, always complains about love bugs and the gunk they leave on her car. Watch out for those gators!

I was told they are oily & if left on your vehicle, will remove the paint !! I was also told to use Dawn. π

Love bugs π©
We have em right know too! They are attracted to white…our cars & house are white. I never heard of love bugs but I guess I’d rather have then than lantern flies.
Enjoy your time in SC!
