A Celebration in Celebration!!

My ex-coworkers will be pleased to read this blog … Today was a special day !! I drove to my favorite restaurant Columbia in my favorite town Celebration to meet up with some of my favorite retiree friends … Kim & Michele !! Yes, you heard me … Michele is in Florida visiting Kim for 10 days ! Since Kim & Michele are both PGA enthusiasts, Michele is thoroughly enjoying hanging out with Kim as Kim volunteers at the Arnold Palmer Invitational Classic ! An added bonus is they get to meet & get selfies with a few golf pros !!

Kim had a day off from volunteering, so we decided to meet up. We had a blast this afternoon enjoying Cava Sangria made table side, some Pinot Grigio, gazpacho, marinated white asparagus, 1905 house salad & a chicken entree with saffron rice. The girls even surprised me with presents !! Delicious Mickey coffee, my favorite patchouli oil, and coconut body polish. Thanks so much !!!!

Then we completed the feast with some Kilwins toasted coconut ice cream ! As Kim & I enjoyed our ice cream, tired Michele caught flies while taking a brief nap in the sunshine ๐Ÿคฃ !! It was an awesome, hilarious, fun, delicious & memorable afternoon !

Our next adventure is later this week when Michele & Kim visit Sadie & I at the campground. Then we head to the Villages to meet some other friends for lunch. Stay tuned for that blog.

  1. What …you never heard of flies for dessert instead of brain freeze and excruciating tooth pain icecream???
Thanks for meeting up with us it was fun. P.s. any reason why you posted everything in detail but not the 45 minute delay in meeting us

  3. Hi Donna,
I was just catching up on unread emails and read this particular blog.
Glad to hear that Michele is still up and running around. I think of her and often wonder how she was doing.
I am doing fine but my time at PPL is almost at an end. Don’t know where I am heading next. Lately, I have been working from home so I probably won’t get a chance to say goodbye to my PPL office friends.
On a much sadder note, we unfortunately had to euthanize both our dogs due to declining health issues so it it really quiet and lonely around the house. Gary and I really miss them both.
    Stay safe.

Michele is living her life to the fullest !! She is an extremely courageous woman battling cancer every day for over 4 years. I admire her strength. Iโ€™ll tell her you said hi !!
Please stay healthy & be safe !! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ˜ทโ˜ฎ๏ธ
